Amazing Aquarium & Exotarium right in the center of Krakow's Old Town
The Kakow Aquarium and Natural History Museum is a uniquely designed modern
attraction. We have incorporated modern computer info points and hand made,
detailed animal exhibits made to similate real environments and house
multiple cohabitable species. Our knowledgable and enthusiastic staff will
answer all your questions and guide you along so you can fully experience
everything. As you walk in you will be submerged into the underwater world
through colorful fish, seahorses, corals, pirahnas, eels, and many other
species including our octopus mascot. Turn the corner and you can sit and
relax in front of a waterfall cascading into a large pond filled with
turtles, koi, oscars and other fish, surrounded by orchids and other lush
plantlife. Next go through our fresh water grotto where you can gaze through
the aquariums filled with fresh water fish as you make your way through to
the fossils & minerals display. Then as you make your way up to the next
level follow the evolutionary line beautifully painted by a local artist. As
you enter the exotarium we hope you will feel part of our exotic jungle with
our snapping turtle, rare peruvian crocodile monitors, anacondas and even a
pair ot cotton top tamarins. Take a left and step into the cloud forest full
of poison arrow dart frogs, geckos, iguanas and other critters. Then visits
some of our desert and shrubland reptiles such as frilled lizards,
uromastyx, aldabra tortoises and even our 25 year old cuban rock iguana.
Round the corner and take a close eye to eye look at the largest venomous
collection in Poland - cobras, rattlesnakes, vipers, and helodermas (the
only venomous lizard species in the world). We also house a insect
collection and many other snake and lizard species such as boas, pythons,
chameleons, tegus and so many more. Also, as part of the permanent museum
exhibit we feature the only fully preserved whooly rhino ever found.
