Sigismund's Bell (in Polish: "Dzwon Zygmunta") is the most famous Polish bell located in the tower of the Wawel Cathedral. It was funded in 1520 by the Polish King, Sigismund I the Old and hence its name. It is 1,99 m high and weighs 10980 kg. It is made of 80% copper and 20% tin. Its heart weighs 300 kg. According to a popular legend, if the heart of the bell breaks, something very bad will happen in the country. 8-10 people can make the bell toll. It tolls only at very special occasions both church and state related.
