The fountain with a schoolboy is located on a charming, little square next to St. Mary's church on the Main Square. The sculpture was made in 1958 as a tribute to Wit Stwosz, the author of the main altar in St. Mary's Church. At the legent has it, those who throw a coin to the fountain are bound to come back to Krakow again.
