Holidaying alone can be tricky, as one never knows quite what the destination has in store and that lack of company may be exaggerated if the city offers a "Hands Off" atmosphere. Luckily, with restaurants such as Avocado, it is difficult to feel alone.
The beaming, multi-lingual Maitre D' will engage enthusiastically on any topic and is always happy to offer advice and help (especially on linguistic matters - apparently we Irish pronounce Monday as Muunday!!), you might be lucky to be served by the girl whom Audrey Hepburn wanted to look like and who doesn't walk but simply skips along upon daisies, and any of your choices from the menu will leave you licking your lips! (I especially recommend the beef bearnaise). The welcome I received in Avocado is among the factors in ensuring that I shall return to Crakow. Good food, good service, good company - I think that amounts to a good experience?... Regards, Darragh |
