Cracow University of Economics (Polish: Akademia Ekonomiczna w Krakowie) is one of the Polish economics universities. It is located in Kraków. The university opened its doors on October 1, 1925 as Wyższe Studium Handlowe. A large portion of the University's library was lost during the arrests of several academy professors by the occupying Nazis, who were later executed or sent to concentration camps. Two buildings of the Academy were seized, and countless files were lost. |
