It's the largest square of medieval Europe. The area of the Market Square, laid out in the middle of 13th century, is 4 hectars. This is the trading and administrative centre of the city. The greatest monuments to be seen here are St. Mary's Church, The Cloth Hall and Town Hall together with many magnates' palaces built in 16-17th century.
