Airline revolution makes Poland and Spain weekend options.

 

 

Eastern Europe - especially Poland - and Spain are the big winners this winter as the low-cost airline revolution rolls on, bringing even more of Europe within the grasp of weekend breakers.

 

 

New Eastern European destinations on winter schedules include Budapest, Riga and Bratislava, as well as the four Polish cities of Warsaw, Krakow, Bydgoszcz and Szczecin. Airlines say there is particular demand from Polish workers seeking employment in the UK after the expansion of the European Union in May.
