SkyEurope to close bases at Krakow from October 28

Low-cost airline SkyEurope Holding AG said with effect from October 28 it will close its bases in Krakow and Budapest and will relocate this capacity to Prague and Vienna.

In a statement, SkyEurope said it now intends to centralise its fleet in Vienna, Bratislava and Prague.

'These markets have a good mix of both leisure and business traffic and are growing rapidly with very healthy national economies and they have less pronounced seasonality than Krakow and Budapest,' said chief executive Jason Bitter.
