In the first weekend of July, Krakow is going to celebrate the start of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. For two days the Main Market Square will become the true hub, well, perhaps not of the Universe, but for sure of Europe.

The European Weekend will begin on Saturday, 2 July, punctually at noon. After the traditional bugle call from the tower of St Mary’s Basilica, from the stage in the Main Market Square we’ll hear Ode to Joy.

The main event on Sunday 3 July will be a special edition of the New Orleans Parade, which will pass through the streets of Old Town at about 5pm. Among the many events running under the slogan United States – United Europe there will be the premiere performance of the EU anthem in a jazz arrangement!
