EasyJet in Pole position with Krakow flights
Budget airline easyJet has announced plans for a new four-times-a-week service from Edinburgh to the Polish city of Krakow.  The service starts on October 29 and is likely to be popular with the Capital's Polish population, as well as tourists going both ways.  The airline expects to carry over 55,000 passengers on the Krakow route in the first 12 months.

David Osborne, the airline's regional general manager, said: "We are delighted to be announcing yet another new route from our Edinburgh base with the introduction of this, our first Polish service from Scotland.

"The beautiful city of Krakow is not served by any other airline from Edinburgh and will be a vital link for businesses in both cities, as well an attractive leisure destination."

David Johnston, Edinburgh Airport's managing director, said: "Krakow is a vibrant and historic city and we are sure it will prove to be a popular destination.

"The route also provides another important link for the large Polish community living in Scotland. We look forward to working with easyJet to ensure this new route mirrors the success of its existing services."
