"Since (the year) 2001 – during this festival – we’ve been calling and observing protecting spirits of places. We’ve already been in Kazimierz, Nowa Huta, Legnica, Warsaw, Olsztyn, Wroc³aw... We keep our ears to the ground to know – and let you know – about everything what is noteworthy in the world of the theatre. Genius Loci is a live experience – this is a conversation about reality. This is not a contest or a competition, it’s rather a gathering around the common idea, an attention paid for a man, a bridge between streets and a place of culture.”

“Genius Loci” – since its first edition – has been skillfully combining worlds of streets and culture. It proves that art is deeply linked with a place in which it exists and from which it derives. This festival is supposed to provoke discussion about the condition of today’s culture and present various thoughts and esthetics.
