Homegrown pioneers of klezmer music – the Kroke group – are returning to the source. Their eighth disc Out of Sight was recorded with the original three-man line up. Two concerts promoting the album will be taking place on 21 and 24 January in Kraków’s Alchemia club.

Kroke (“Kraków” in Yiddish) came into being in 1992. The trio were quick to achieve international recognition and can boast cooperation with Peter Gabriel, among others, while recording the soundtrack for the film Rabbit-Proof Fence. In recent years the group have entered into musical marriages with such artists as Nigel Kennedy or Edyta Geppert. They have also played concerts with the Sinfonietta Baltica, Sinfónica de Burgos and Sinfonietta Cracovia.
