10th anniversary edition. The festival events include dance demonstrations, parades, masquerade balls and performances in the Arcade Courtyard of Wawel Castle, shows, concerts, exhibitions, lectures, court dance workshops (with French, Italian, English, Polish and Indian dances) led by specialists from Poland and abroad, as well as evening shows by youth ensembles. Last year, dance workshops were led by famous Indian dance master Sanjib Bhattacharya of New Delhi. Also being organized are activities for children (among others, a contest for the most beautiful, most faithfully recreated costume from past eras, as well as guided tours of Kraków’s historical buildings). Last year, alluding to the celebrations of the Year of India in Poland, the leading theme of the edition was Court Dance in the Countries of the Orient – India.
