Prince helps Krakow Jews

| |

Following a visit four years ago to Krakow, Prince Charles saw for himself the plight of elderly members of the Jewish community living in the Kazimierz district and wished to make a difference to their lives.

When the member of the Royal Family came back to the UK, he contacted World Jewish Relief to discuss how he could do something.

Following discussions, he has become Patron of a new Jewish welfare and community centre for the Jews of Krakow in which he has made a substantial donation.

Next week, the centre begins building work which is hoped to be completed within two years.
