The Festival is inspired by the oldest Polish cooking tradition: that of stuffed dumplings, and it aims to promote the richness of Old Polish cuisine among Polish and foreign tourists.
The Festival is accompanied by tasting sessions, fairs, artistic events and competitions. The dishes presented during the Festival are prepared by Krakow chefs who compete for the right to display for a year the Casimir the Great (the spectators’ votes) and the Saint Jack of the Dumplings (votes of the jury) awards.
