This year's Museum Night is a component of the "6 Senses" project, an undertaking unique in the entire country. Over 20 cultural institutions from Krakow will become involved in the 5th edition of the event, whose main theme will be the 90th anniversary of Polish independence.
Night-time tours are an opportunity to discover monuments which are normally inaccessible to tourists and to encounter art in unusual settings. For the symbolic admission fee of one zloty, until 1am one can take part in interesting events, knight combat shows and meetings with artists, as well as visit Krakow's ramparts and admire various museum collections.
A coin (admission ticket) with an inscription "1918 – Free Poland" will also entitle its holder to a free ride on MPK municipal trams and buses from 6pm and two special tram lines launched especially for the occasion.
