The restaurant's name refers to Piotr Skrzynecki, Cracow's own genius loci, who personally welcomed the guests during the opening (5th April, 1992). It is located in the 14th century basement of the Hetman's House.The rooms are air-conditioned and decorated in Italian style.In the summer, it is nicely cool in the basement also refreshing in the green garden placed on The Main Square.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at the Da Pietro. It was an evening that exceeded all our expectations. The restaurant itself is atmospheric and charming, but what added to it was excellent food (the chef is a world-class artist), as well as the care and attention to details expressed by the Manager, Ms Kubarek, and her excellent Staff. They made sure that everything was taken care off, helped with the manus, and were friendly and supportive. Everythimg was perfect - but it was not a surprise, since it is our favorite restaurant in Krakow, where we have been coming for several years. The fond memories will stay with us and our guests for a long, long, time. We will be returning to Da Pietro - that is sure.

First class Italian, friendly staff, cosy basement setting, pizza and pasta just what you want to stock up on carbs after a hard day site seeing !
