The event, inspired by the The Night of Museums, which attracts many thousands of visitors every year, aims to activate the actors’ milieu and bring all the theatre lovers together.
The programme prepared for the Krakow Theatre Night is quite varied and apart from live performances it includes theatre workshops, meetings with actors, multimedia presentations on the history and present activities of theatre institutions, and visiting theatre corners normally not available to spectators.
The first Krakow Theatre Night was organised on June 9/10, 2007, within the celebrations of the 750 anniversary of granting Magdeburg Rights to the City of Krakow.
